Ingredients
Method
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until the dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- Assemble the Pizza:
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Divide the pizza into four sections.
- Add artichokes and prosciutto to one section (spring).
- Add tomatoes and mozzarella to another section (summer).
- Add mushrooms and olives to the third section (autumn).
- Crack eggs and place them in the final section, and scatter diced ham (winter).
- Bake the Pizza:
- Drizzle olive oil over the assembled pizza.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing.
Notes
If you can’t find artichokes, try using asparagus for a similar spring flavor.
For a vegetarian version, skip the prosciutto and ham and add more vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini.
Experiment with different cheeses if mozzarella isn't available—try fontina or provolone.
