- Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Mix in heavy cream and bring it slowly to a simmer.
- Stir constantly and add freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and thickened.
- Cook the Lasagna Noodles:
- Boil a large pot of salted water.
- Add lasagna noodles one by one and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente.
- Drain and rinse under cold water. Lay them flat on a clean towel to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Meat and Vegetables:
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until browned.
- Add spinach and mushrooms, cooking until vegetables are tender. Set aside.
- Assemble the Lasagna:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place a layer of noodles over the sauce.
- Add more Alfredo sauce, followed by a layer of the meat and vegetable mixture, and sprinkle mozzarella and ricotta cheese.
- Repeat layers, ending with a generous topping of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake the Lasagna:
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
