Ingredients

  • 3 parts Prosecco about 90 ml
  • 2 parts Aperol about 60 ml
  • 1 part soda water about 30 ml
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh orange slice for garnish

Method

Fill a large balloon wine glass all the way with fresh ice cubes.
Pour in the Prosecco first (about 90 ml).
      Add Aperol (about 60 ml).
Top with a splash of soda water (about 30 ml).
Give it a gentle stir so the flavors blend without losing bubbles.
Garnish with a fresh orange slice and serve right away.

              Notes

              • Always use fresh ice. Old ice with freezer smells will change the flavor.
              • A large balloon wine glass is best because it brings out the aroma and keeps the drink colder.
              • The 3-2-1 ratio is classic, but you can tweak it slightly if you like it more bitter or lighter.
              • Garnish with a fresh orange slice right before serving for the best aroma.
              • For the most authentic flavor, choose a quality Prosecco D.O.C. and a splash of Italian sparkling water like San Pellegrino.
